Altered Art Project -- the Key to Learning

Not an altered book, but an altered art project nevertheless. I call this project the Key to Learning. Its made from a CD or DVD disk and a wooden ruler.

 

The CD disk spins on the ruler, and the clock hands point to the words Reading, Riting, Rithmetic and Recess.

Altered Art -- Mardi Gras Mask

This piece of altered art started out as a cheap paper mask from the party store.  The original mask was purple and some of that purple shows through the faux paper mache topping.

 

The mask is decorated with a fabric trim, a hand made floral centerpieces and black and white feathers.
